Rain Clouds in the sky......

From morning, i felt very comfortable with the day. Everything happened so well, and wow!!.. today's a good day. By evening thought of taking a walk to bus stop with my colleague rather than going with my Bro. It started to rain when i got into MTC. Long after i traveled in foot board, it was really cool and i enjoyed getting out in running at every stop and getting in after the bus moved. Some one inside played songs of Ayan in his "Korean mobile" (Background music for the situation). The whole stretch from Sholinganallore to Perumbakkam was so cool and i felt the drizzle dashing in my face. I began humming

"Rain Clouds in the sky, ( I ) Don't know why
They make me blue, when I'm thinking of you

Maybe they want to cry, As I walk on by
Hiding my tears, in a world of good byes..."

within myself from Hariharan's Colonial Cousins. Time went by and i reached home leaving the rain to sing the rest of the song.

This is Williams Matric school, and in our little band....

It’s nearly 2-3 yrs since I visited my school where I did my schooling(6-12th). As we (I, Vivin and Jai) started from Vivin's home on Sunday 5th it was nearly 4:00 pm. With Jai's new Pulsar we headed to our school. Our plan was to just have a look at the school premises and return back, but we were lucky. Yupp!! the school gate was open. The school watchman Bhuvan anna whom we know earlier during school days greeted us with a smile.

While vivin and jai were busy gossiping with anna I took a walk in veranda, turning the pages of my memories. Wow!! I could still remember my school song and most of the choir songs and morning assemblies where we use to stand in white and white on Monday, blue and white on weekdays and sports uniform on Friday. Gosh... three type of uniforms for a single week. But at that time we enjoyed wearing those monkey color T-shirts cos of the 45 min PT period which we use to have on that day.

Since the buildings were locked we headed to the rear end of the school ground where we use to have out lunch buffets. You won’t believe me... for the whole of 12th standard I never had lunch which my mom prepared for me. Usually jai use to have my lunch or it’ll get distributed to all of us. Mostly 5-7 of us use to sit together for lunch; every one's lunch will have some specialty. Vivin's kerala delicacies; Naveen's south-indian meals; Jaga's puliyotharai; kalyanam's bisibolabath and curd rice; Jai's sambar-rice . Those 4ft tall pongamiya glabara where we use to dine underneath had grown tall enough.

"Hey!!! Look at this da!! "Vivin said after looking at the bark of a tree which we use to call kodi-kalakka-maram. I was really amazed on seeing our names carved on the tree's bark; First was "vivin" then my name "christy", then "vignesh" and the at the rear it was "jai". These names date back to 2001AD where we did those inscriptions for fun. It is some 3000 days old and our names stands still, Wow!!!! great!!!!

After a few snaps we moved back to the sheds where we studied 7th, 8th and 9th standard; after a few snaps we climbed up to first floor. It was our Physics cum Chemistry cum Biology labs. We learnt resonance, salt analysis, dissection [both rat and frog], handled tuning fork, pipettes, burettes, test-tubes, ammeter, voltmeter, mercury, diodes and lot more in those labs.

The time was nearly 5:30pm, and i realised that memories consume most of our time and decided to leave... After some snaps we left the school. When we started our bikes and left the school our school song echoed in my ears..

“This is Williams Matric School...
And in our little band are the best of all the boys and girls of India's coral stand...
We are learning all we can for our dear motherland..
May our school live for ever and ever..

We'll aspire and achieve to be truly great and great..
For we founder on rock and not on shifting sand..
For justice and for truth we'll surely take our stand..
May our school live for ever and ever

We are children of this school ..
And we are proud of it too..
Where ever we go and what ever we do..
for India we'll work and for India we'll be true
May our school live for ever and ever.."

That night before I fell asleep I thought that i had the best of my days at school which I should treasure in my memories.

Only memories are left behind...

The last time when i wrote a poem, i was 18 and it was for my school souvenir. Few said that it was good; few commented that i copied from some source and few didn't mind at all. Few months before i thought of waking up the poet inside me :-) and ask 'him' to hard-code my college memories in my style, 'he' also made a successful attempt in drafting it. Till now i have shared with two of my friends and now it's open for others too....

DEDICATED TO ALL MY COLLEGE FRIENDS WITH WHOM I HAD MEMORABLE TIME ... MISS YOU ALL...

As we started to Trichy....

It was Dennison Sister's wedding reception on 13 June and we (Mushataq and my bro Prabhu) started to Trichy from East - Tambaram. The Ultra-Deluxe bus started by 12 O' which was scheduled to start by 11.15PM (Indian Standard Time).

As soon as the bus started and cruised on the GST Road I heard a grinding sound from the rear wheel side. I said myself "Dude!!! This is gonna be a great journey". The conductor emerged from the driver’s cabin and started checking the tickets. GST was so good that the bus cruised like a car. I tried to close my eyes to doze and heard the grinding sound (grrrrr #*$%^) again. At this point of time i would like to introduce two villains to you

1. Grinding sound (grrrrr #*$%^) from the bus
2. The conductor (You'll come to know what made the conductor a villain)

Time was rolling and the clock stuck 12:30AM, and all of the sudden the lights inside was put on. Our second villain emerged and he started checking his trip sheets. I was little irritated with the light and looked through the window. There was lot of concrete buildings coming on GST Road, some of them was really cool esp. a Olympic lamp shaped building by L&T. By this time the conductor left and the lights was put off.

A little later when the bus slowed, with a grrrrr #*$%^. Every one was annoyed with the sound but none of them hesitated to ask either the driver or conductor about the sound.

The time would have been 1:00 AM and there was no sound from the deck of the bus. Now there was a theory set "When the bus slows-> grrrrr #*$%^.... When it speeds -> Happy journey"... All of the sudden lights were put on and conductor emerged back. Now he was insisting everyone to close the window right from the first row. He asked the first right row, then the second, third fourth and didn't mind others. It appeared to me that was focused on the second-right row.

Amused by this I lifted my head and gave a glance at the person on the 2nd row. My guessing was right; there were a couple of girls in half sleep. After a while 2nd villain disappeared. I thought of slapping the conductor if he puts the light on the next time. In the mean time where ever the bus slowed down there was a grrrrr #*$%^ down the deck.

I tried hard to close my eyes and enter into the paradise of dreams to sing a duet with any of the available heroines at that time... there was a flash....

Conductor is back again!!!! I thought that someone called him, but this time he was carrying some papers and leaned near the 2nd row and started gazing at the gals pretending to do some calculations. I got furious and was trying to control myself. He left after a while and I didn't know when I slept with the periodical grrrrr #*$%^ sound from the bus.

In half sleep I remember that the conductor peep’d in a couple of times. He never came in my dream or else I would have kicked his a** off.

As the night passed i woke up and found that the bus has carried us nearly 350 Km from Chennai. Yup, we have landed in Trichy. While getting down, out of curiosity I asked the driver “What was the sound from the deck”, with a smile he said “The main axel was not properly connected to the rear wheel” he also added tat “I was afraid that the bus would halt in some unknown location, but thank God all of us reached safely”. I thanked him personally and got off the bus. Since the lodge was already booked we headed straight to Hotel Sevana.

Picture of the day

I'm always an admirer of the horizon. Till date i would have taken 'n' number of horizon-snaps. I took the above snap today by 6:45PM. The sky was a bit clear and the horizon was unusually red. Loved the scene and grabbed it with my 2 Megapixel camera. I'm sure that it'll be a visual treat.
